Cypraea Annulus " Uncommon"

Cypraea ( Monetaria ) Annulus Linnaeus 1758
Size : 22 mm
Depth : 15-25 m
Locality : Lampung, South Sumatra
Dredged with oyster September 2007.
Uncommon C.Annulus with contrast dorsum and margin color. Looks similar with others when you look from top, but different on side view. Very Beautiful !!! Only 1 specimen.
Like C. Caputserpentis, C.Annulus is a common cowries found anywhere from South Sumatra to Flores. Most of them caught by dredging at 10 -20 m depth. Some could found at low tide on coral beaches. Beautiful when alive.

One of the rarest !!! White porcelain smooth dorsum. Only 1 specimen .
